Quilt

Tonight I finished a quilt for my son that I made out of G's bandanas.

G started wearing bandanas on his head the summer before his transplant. I actually thought it was that fall when he was living in the hospital and his hair was long because he couldn't get a haircut. But going through pictures, I found some with him wearing a bandana that summer!

Anyway, they were so iconically G. That and a crazy graphic t-shirt. Most people had never seen G without a bandana. He wore them a lot at home but not all the time.

I had planned to give one to UN and UT but when I mentioned it to Paul he was adamant that we not give any away. I asked him if he wanted them just how they were or made into a quilt and he wanted the quilt.

It took a total of about 2 solid days of work (spread out) but it is done! And he loves it. And its a little piece of G that we can snuggle with and maybe even P's kids can snuggle with it someday.
